Visiting the biggest slum in Africa is an interesting, but also challenging experience I can really recommend. Our guide, who knows Kibera and the people really well, showed us some houses, how the locals live, the river, and much more. He made sure that we felt safe the entire time and was able to answer all our questions. You can get an Uber ride there so you don't have to walk around the slum by yourself. For us, it was challenging to see such a different life whilst we knew that we have so much more. But for us, it was an important and ‘real’ experience!
